The Wellington Submarine Mining Volunteers assembled for Government inepec: tion at the Drillshe ( | last evening. There were fifty-one of all ranks present. They were inspected by Lieut.-Colohel Newell; accompanied by Captain Lomax. ' The company were, drilled by their officers and non-.commissioned officers, and were put through several company movements by Staff Sergeant-Major McDonald. There was a fair attendance of non-com-missioned officers of the Wellington Bat, tali on at the meeting last night convened by Captain Harconrt to take the initial steps for the formation of a claw of instructiOn preparatory to examinations in Dicember next in aecortlaiic© with iltS Volunteer Regulations.
