THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC ASSOCIATION.
The International Association for the Advancement of Science, Art, and Education will hold its s*cond annual meeting at Glasgow at the University and m the International Exhibition, from July 29 to September 37 (says the “English Mechanic”). Besides serving as a link among universities and learned societies, etc., one of the most important functions of the meeting will again be as at Paris last year, to study and interpret the matters of scientific, geographio. and other interests afforded by the Exhibition by means of lectures and conferences, with demonstrations and visits under skilled guidance. The various national groups which. co-operated last yeajr at Paris will again be represented at Glasgow; and their lectures and conferences, etc., will include pure and applied physics and chemistry, electricity and engineering, agriculture, and' forertry.'geography and colonisation; hveiene, Scottish history and arohmo!o«nr. fine art, etc.
