The painters’ and decorators’ dispute was further considered yesterday by the Wellington Conciliation Board. The grant of ATOO,OOO to Lord Roberts for services in South Africa has been approved by the House of Lords and House of Commons. An inquiry was held yesterday into the circumstances surrounding a fire which occurred in Wright street, Wellington, on July 25tk. The House of Representatives was yes. terday engaged in discussion of the Counties Bill, Advances to Settlers Act Amendment Bill and the Rating on Unimproved Values Bill.
