"Is Party Government a Failure?’ ’ A meeting of the Wellington Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Society was held at the Trocadero last night, Mr A, H. Fnllforct, vice-president, presided, and a very large number of members were present. Accounts amounting to over .£l4O were (subject to some slight alterations) passed for payment. Notices of motion were tabled for next meeting to consider the advisability of registering the society. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr John Duthie for hia donation of £5 5» towards the Duthie trophy. The annual meeting of the Mount Cook Old Boys’ Association will be held on Monday evening.
