Reuter’s Agency understands that the latest operations in Jubaland, which in. volved fighting on the sth ult., were nob connected with a fresh advance upon the headquarters of the Ogadens at Afmaddu, but were occasioned by the advance of a British force to establish a new post on the River Juba at Foodoo, situated about half-way between the coast arid Bardera. Accord, ing to the latest information, Colonel Ternan’s-expedition, which had to return to headquarters at Yonte from Afmaddu, was refitting at the form<='place, but no information is obtainable as to whether another column was to be sent in that direction agaiftst the murderers of Mr Jenner. But little is known of the scene of the last fighting, bub it is probable that the point which the troops have now reached, viz., Towata Island, is close to Foodoo. the site of the new Government post already referred to, and about 100 miles up the river.
