The largest commando that had been mentioned in the official despatches was oix hundred strong, and it was estimated that there were still seventeen thousand Boers in the hold. Mr Balfour added that the rumours regarding peace negotiations being in progress were baseless. MISCELLANEOUS. LONDON, Juno 13. A British force commanded by Colonel Pulteney, captured twenty-six Boors, m. eluding General Sehalk Burgers brother, on the Swaziland border. Tho Boors returned to the Sonekal and Lydenburg district immediately Sir Uindon Blood withdrew his troops. BERLIN, Juno 13Tho German press is furious at the report of tho Transvaal Concessions Commission, because it upsets recent speculations in connection with the Netherlands railway. Tho Telegraph Department advises that until further notice telegrams writton in plain llniglisir, addressed to tho following places in Orange River Colony and Transvaal, are to he sent at sender’s risks, and will be subject to censorship - Orange River Colony—Edinburgh, Bloemfontein, Brandfort, Kroonstail, Harrismith; In Transvaal—Johan, nosburg, Pretoria, Potchfcstroom, V«rcenigrots, Holdleberg, Standorton, Volkrust, Middolburg, Vakkofstroom, Kru gorsdorp and Barberton. Telegrams will bo subject to delay.
