MEETINGS.
The weekly meeting of the Marist Brothers’ Old Boys’ Literary Debating Society was held last night. The subject for debate was “The Pen and the Sword.” On a vote being taken, members decided in favour of the sword. At a meeting of the Federated Seamen s Union lost night a resolution was passe 1 "That all overtime should be done away with, or only permitted one night a week. The executive and reception diucg-tes of the Ancient Order of Fora='.3rs w-j! meet on Thursday.
