EDUCATION BOARD
The Wellington Education Board met yesterday. The bank account showed:—Maintenance, dr., £2687 17s sd; buildings, cr., £455 14s lid; contract liabilities, £613 ss. Payments' were authorised on behalf of maintenance, £3728 13s 7d, and buildings, The following resignations were accepted:—Yara P. Cowles, assistant. Shannon; Agnes ■ C. Telford, pupil teacher, Park Yale; Andrew Kveriss, head teacher, Kereru; Thomas Campbell, pupil teacher, To. Aro Infants’; Millic'ent A. Brown, pupil teacher,, Dale field.
Miss Annie Davies, a,ssistan(, Thorndon, was granted leave for Marjdi. Mrs Turkington was appointed sewing teacher at Cross’s’ Creek. The chairman was empowered to act in regard to the claim of the Johnsouvillo School for technical education.
