LORD RANFURLY’S CABLEGRAMS

Hi's Excellency the Governor addressed the following cablegram, to the (Secretary of State for the Colonies :—“ Myself, Ministers and people of New Zealand desire to couv.ey to Royal Family, also to Imperial Government, our heartfelt sorrow' in the loss the 1 Empire has sustained by the death of our beloved Queen—so noble a woman; so illustrious a Sovereign.” The Governor has received the following cable message from the Secretary pf State for the Colonies:—“l am directed by T.R.H. Prince and Princess of Wales .to acknowledge very, gratefully your message expressing the sympathy of yourself, your Government, and people of New Zealand.” This refers to the message expressing sympathy that was snt during the Queen’s illness.
