RELEASE FROM PRISON.
AN ALMOST FORGOTTEN CRIME

PARIS, January 19. Gabriellc Bompard has been released from prison for good conduct. The story of her crime is that in 1809 she decoyed a lawyer named Gotifre to her apartment in Paris and helped an accomplice, named Evraud, who was in hiding there, to strangle him with a noose.
At the trial she pleaded that she had been hypnotised by Evraud, who was executed.
