SU'athnairn and Magnihco.nl were, ridden out in a circuit on the plough. Fair time was registered, there being little between the pair at the finish. The Yaldhnrsfc two-year-olds were sprinted. MenschikoiT sweated freely, but Cruciform appeared very fit. Formosan cantered twice round the plough. Free Holmes sent Cadet and Cameo solus three-quarter pace tasks on the plough. llotu (Price) galloped a mile on the grass at top. The last seven furlongs took Imin 38£sec. Skobeloff cantered once round on the grass, and then strode on over a second circuit, but did not attempt to put up time. Hypnotist and Ruarnahanga- did useful working gallops on the sand track. Robin Gray (Wilson), who appeared in winkers, and Hiamoe (Price) did a good gallop on the plough. They ran homo from the'half-mile post in 52sec. Hiamoe finished about a. neck in front. A. Woods’s pair should shape- well in the Maiden Plato and Hack Handicap respectively. Jackson let Blazer have his head, and quickly settling down to his work, He gelding left the Telegraph Handicap distance liohind in Imin IS.lsec.
