Mr Stead's two-year-olds ■Cruciform and JUenschikoff cantered round to the four-furlong post, where they hopped off ami ran the half-mile on the grass in a tick under Stlse*. Others worked were First- Blood. Cameo, Cadet, Ruamahauga, Cherrystone and Proposal. bkobcloff, Cherrystone and Proposal galloped a mile on the grass. From the M-vcn furlong post )liey registered Imin 38«ee. Proposal got left a length and a half at the start, but finished a neck in. front of Skobc I off, Cherrystone three lengths away. Formosan wintered two circuits on the .sand. The Dunedin two-year-olds Red Gauntlet and Canteen did half-pace work. Art Jewel shaped well with Hypnotist. Strathnaim, Magnificent, Robin Gray. Murmur, Ringlet, Dr Bill. Gipsy Jack, Waterford also worked during tho morning. Scottish Minstrel. Heruiosa. Spider ami Wimlwhistle arrived from the South yesterday. _ Additional grandstand accommodation on the top of the .stewards’ stand will be completed in time for the meeting to accommodate about 350 people.
