PRESS .ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, November IG. In spite of occasional showers there was a large attendance at the opening day of the Auckland Agricultural Show. The entries exceed those of any previous year, the total in all classes being 141'A The average character of the exhibits is higher, a particularly satisfactory feature being a great improvement in fat cattle, dairy cattle and freezing sheep. Following is a list of championship awards ; —Draught en tire, TV. Taylor's Beninore; ’Shorthorn Bull’, New Zealand Association's Duke of Manchester; Shorthorn cow, New Zealand Association's Idalia TV.; Jersey bull, C. Day's Sailor Boy; Jersey cow, F. Luard Wright's Grisette; Polled Angus cow. Krone Estate’s Vista; Lincoln ram. James Wallace. Papatoitoi; Lincoln ewes, C. T. Barriball, Waiuku; Romney Marsh ram, Westwood Brothers, Mount Albert; Shrop ahire Down ram, C. Day, Tamahere; Shropshire Down ewe, F. W. Burnett, Walton; Berkshire boar; H. and J. Binstead s Prince; Berasuire sow, Edwin 11. Kelly, Papaitoitoi; Yorkshire sow, R. Nicholl s Snowdrift.
