Press association’. ' INVERCARGILL, Juno 22. An unusual case under the Factories Act anti the jsinployment of Boys and Girls Without Payment Prevention Act came before Major Eocalcll, S.M., today, the. defendant being Mrs Wade, a dressmaker, who also conducts a class for the instruction of girls on Wednesday afternoon, tho statutory half-holiday in Invercargill. Inspector . Sbauaghan admitted the fact that the girls were not cnipjoyees, but contended that the factory could not bo used l for the purpose. The Magistrate held that section 68 of tho Factories! Act, applied only to employees, and therefore dismissed tho case.
