Mr D. C. Tennent, Marion, on journeying to- the beach, near the mouth of the Turakina River on Sunday, discovered a skeleton ok a moa. The bird (says the “Advocate’"** was apparently of a gigantic size, and.had..been buried on a sand-hill, which - has 1 now been blown away- Mr Tennent gathered the bones and brought them to Marton, and they constitute almost the complete framework of the bird.
