A NAVAL FAILURE.

HuuE COAL CONSUMPTION. (Received June 13, 0.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 12. The monster cruiser Eurojia, which arrived to-day with relief crews for the Australian squadron, is fitted with Belleville water-tube boilers. She proved herself a most expensive coal consumer. The trip from Portsmouth, including stoppages for boiler trials at Malta and a-visit to Batavia, occupied eighty-six days. Thrty days were devoted to coaling. The daily consumption was 200 tons of English coal and 250 tons of colonial The cost,of fuel alone has been over £BOOO.
