Prom Messrs Baker' Brothers, agents of the Manchester Insurance Company, we-have received the following list ,of insurance' losses'-dji connection with the recent disastrous fife at Ottawa, the capital; of- Canada-:—Royal, £50,000; North British and Mercantile, £40,000; Guardian, , £30,000; Caledonian. £30,000; Union, £25,000?- Phoenix, £25,000 ;.,Man-, Chester, £2ol3oo"'Alliance, ’ £20^000; Norwich Union, £20,000; London and Lancashire, £20,OOO; Liverpool, London and Globe. £15,000 ; National of Ireland. £15,000; London. £15,000; Commercial. Union, £13,000; Imperial, £13,000; Lancashire, £12,000; Atlas £10,000';' Scottish Union and'National; I ,* .£100,000;, Lion, £10,000;. Sun, £BOOO ;: Northern, £6000;. Patriotic, £5000; Law Union and Crown, £4000; Palatine. £2OOO. Total British .losses, £420, 000. 'Western, £50,000; Phosiiix (Brooklyn), £30,000;. Phosnix (Hartford),, £40,000;' Magdeburg, £20,000. There are in addition to the foregoing a large number of American companies interested, whose losses wore not known when the above list was compiled.
