DRIVING THE ENEMY BACK.
GENERAL GAT ACRE ON THE AGGRESSIVE. GOERS GATHERING AT STORMBERG. CAPETOWN, January -1. .Lieutenant-General Gatacre is steadily at work pressing tho Boors back from the points of vantage they had gained in the north-east parts of Gape Colony. Sinco their victory over the British at Stormborg, the Boers have been in occunation of Molteno, tho town on the eastern railway line from which Clio British moved to the scene of the disaster, and also the town of Cyphergat, six miles south of Molteno. Within the last few days General Gabacre has succeeded in dislodging them from both these towns, and they are now retreating northward, in the direction of Storrnberg. DORDRECHT EVACUATED. (Received January 6, 0.30 a.m.) CAPETOWN, January 5. Captain Montmorency has evacuated the town of Dordrecht, about thirty miles to the east of Stormborg, on the railway lino running towards Aliwal North.
