PREPARATIONS TOR ANOTHER FIGHT. : BOERS CLOSING*ROUND* LAD £- SMITH. /DURBAN, Thursday. Now that the British forces in Natal have 'been"coricqritrated in ..Ladysmith, the foe is gradually closing in upon that town from booh sides. Advices received from scouts in the direction of Elands Laagte, sixteen miles north-’east l of Lady smith-—the scene of one of last weeks principal engagements, —show that Boer troops are again massing in that vicinity.: To the westward of Ladysmith, again, on the'route of .the railway that leads thence through Van Reeneri’s Pass to the .Orange Free .State, several thousand burghers have reached Jester’s, a point only five miles from , the British centre.
