THE MAYORAL ELECTION.

The time for registering on the municipal roll for the election of Mayor is drawing to a close. Mr T. Kennedy Macdonald- invites everyone not yet registered to visit his General Committed rooms, 84,! Lamhton quay, where they can inspect the municipal roll and fill up forms for registration. Ladies are specially invited. The rooms will he opened this evening from 7 to !) o’clock. Mr J. G. W. Aitkcn’s Lamhton Committee met last evening at the Brandon street Committee room, and satisfactory reports were given in. Certain streets in the ward-were allocated to new com-mittee-men. Mr Aitken was present, and addressed the meeting, thanking those who wore working so arduously on his behalf. Meetings for every night next week will he announced in Monday morning’s issue.
