NEW ZEALAND MAIL. CHRISTMAS NUMBER PRIZE STORY COMPETITION. THE Proprietors of the "New Zealand Mail" beg to announce that a SPECIAL PRIZE STORY COMPETITION will be held in connection with this year's Christinas Number of the "Mail." The Stories must be original, and must deal largely, if not solely, with New Zealand Life. either in town or '*■ country. The length of the Stones must not exceed 2000 words. The latest date on which Stories can be received will be SEPTEMBER 10. The Stories must be written on one side of the paper only. Failure to comply with this provision will entail rejection without perusal. All MSS must be addressed to The Editor, "New Zealand Mail," Wellington, with the words, "Christmas Prize Story Competition" in the corner. The sheets should be packed flat and not rolled. It is requested that competitors will exercise special care to comply with this condition. The right to publish any or all the stones sent in will remain with the Proprietors of the "Mail," but the copyright of the Stories will be reserved by the authors.
