COLLIERY EXPLOSION IN SOUTH WALES.
SERIOUS LOSS OF LIFE. .- LONDON, Friday. ■A disastrous explosion has taken place at a colliery af v Bridgend, in Glamorganshire, South Wales. Eighteen persons are known Ip have been killed, and about sixty art also entombed. (Received August ‘JI. 1.10 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday. Tho explosion was caused by a fall of tho roof and after-damp. Naked lights were used in the colliery.
