WEDDING.

HECTOR—JACKSON. The little English Church at the Lower Hutt was crowded yesterday afternoon on the occasion of the marriage of Mr Barclay Hector, eldest son of Sir James Hector, to Miss Hilda Jackson, daughter of Mr Jackson, of the Lower Hutt. The bride was dressed in white satin, trimmed with chiffon, and was attended by Miss Dell Jackson, Miss Waterhouse and the Misses C. T. and M. Hector. The bridesmaids were dressed in white grenadine, trimmed with chiffon, with lovers’ knots worked in the front of the skirts. The Rev Joshua Jones performed the ceremony, and Mr Manning, of Petcne, was best man. A large number of friends assembled at the house of the bride’s father, when the health of the bride and bridegroom was enthusiastically toasted. Mr and Mrs B. Hector left for the Wairarapa by the afternoon train.
