General remarks Overcast; sea moderate. , , .. , , Castlepoint.—Wind, south-west, light; barometer. 29.97; thermometer, 58. General remarks—Showery; sea moderate. Wellington.—Wind, south, fresh; barometer, 29.92; thermometer, 49. vreneral remarks—Gloomy. .. , Westport—Wind, south-west, light; barometer, 29.90; thermometer, 50. General remarks —Showery; sea smooth. Kaikoura. —Wind, south-east breeze; barometer, 29.98; thermometer, 46. General remarks —Rain; sea rough. Oamaru. —Wind, south-east, light; barometer, 30.01; thermometer, 43. General remarks —Fine; sea smooth. Bluff.—Wind, south-south-west, light; barometer, 30.00; thermometer, 43. Gene*, ral remarks —Gloomy'. Pressure at Sydney' has steadily increased since Saturday last, but was low at Hobart then, and will have risen considerably there by next report. The weather records taken at the Wei lington Observatory at 9 a m. yesterday were as follow: —Barometer,29.B72; maximum shade temperature previous 24 hours. 58; minimum shade temperature previous 24 hours, 50; rainfall previous 24 hours, .260; wind, north-west in morning, and changed to south; dull weather and showery.
