ANNUAL REPORT

(Received May 11, 11 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Thursday. The annual meeting of the Colonial Mutual Life Insurance Society was held to-day. The report disclosed that satisfactory progress had been made during the year. It was stated that the annual income was now over £400,000. The accumulated funds .of the society had now reached £2,250,000. The retiring directors were re-elected. The r.ew business for the year 1897 amounted to £784,000. and the income, for the year was £400,000. The funds had increased pn £2,150,000.
