Noble, one of the Nev.South Wales representatives, scored 134 runs, and Laver (Victoria) made 101. ’ The Australian team was entertained at a banquet by the Gloucestershire Club. Dr W. G. Grace, the famous Gloucestershire batsman, in the course of a heartj speech, declared the visiting team to be “a rare good lot.”
