AUCKLAND’S SHAVING DOCK.
CONCLUDING ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE ADMIRALTY. PBESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Monday. The Auckland Harbour Board has received the following cablegram from Mr J. M. Brigham, secretary to the Board, who is now in London, regarding the negotiations with the Admiralty for a subsidy to enable the board to equip the Calliope dock:—"Agreement signed. Fortyeight tenders. Accepted one aggregating .£14,000. Three contracts yet to be settled.” Mr Brigham is expected to leave London for Auckland within a few days, after dealing with the remaining three tenders and the agreement being signed by the Admiralty. Negotiations in connection with tho Calliope -Dock are now satisfactorily concluded, and a-start will no doubt be shortly made to thoroughly equip'it.
