PHYSICAL TRAINING SCHOOL.
One of the most popular institutions in the city is the Wellington. Physical Training School, which carries on its operations under tho skilled supervision of Mr Harrison. Periodical public displays of the prowess of ’its pupils are given, and tlie next will take place on the 21st inst. No charge for admission is to be made. Two separate school terms in tho season have been fixed, viz., March-July and July-Novomber; and Thursday has been Substituted for Friday as seniors’ instruction night. The committee has decided to strike off the membership list one or two persons who, having received a short tuition at the school, have set up gymnasiums of their own. ■ The following officers have been elected for the ensuing yeav : —President, Mr J. C. Martin; vice-presidents, Messrs Harty, McDonald, A. D. Riley, W. E. Woods, Bethune and Drs Fell and Collins; committee, Messrs J. D. Barnett, Ronaldson, Hunter-Brown, J. E. Morrison, McArthur, O’Sullivan and Harton; secretary Mr-W. Horne; treasurer, Mr R. Pownall; auditor, Mr M. C. Barnett.
