SHOCKING WESTRALIAN FATALITY.
tMOTHER AND TWO CHILDREN , BURNED TO DEATH. THE VICTIMS’ RELATIVE . ; SUSPECTED., Perth, Monday. Mrs McArthur and her two young children have been burnt to death at Mount ’the’ Murchison Goldfields,' 450 miles north of Perth. Mrs McArthur’s nephew, who was sleeping in an adjoining room, had a narrow escape. ■ - Tracks have been discovered leading from the’ hut to' tho ; camp of Hartley Bowen, brother-in-law of McArthur. From these it is supposed he .was .at the scene of the fxfe;’ , ah'd:it is evident that after leaving the place the person'who made the tracks took off his boots.’ •' > •'Bowends. separated from bis wife, wlio has been- staying with her sistordn-law, but was away on the night of the fire. Her husband had threatened to "do lor the lot' of them ” The police have arrested Bowen on sue pioion of firing the place.
