VOLUNTEER NEWS.
The Star Club Submarine Mining Corps camp of instruction concludes op Saturday. There have been excellent musters every nigbt and morning, and some realty useful work has been done under Captain Falconer and his staff of instructors. Special squads have been formed for topedo-boat woik, signalling, electric light and testing, and the examinations have resulted in the passing of a very satisfactory percentage of the men. 'the recently resuscitated Heretaunga Mounted E:fl«a have decided to adopt a green uniform with maroon facings, for the making of which they have accepted the tender of the Wellington Woollen Company. •
