He is now making even greater reductions, as he is determined that the whole of the stock shall go before the new goods arrive, which were cabled for immediately after the fire. The steamer Adana, from New York, is expected to arrive here to-morrow morning, and will commence discharging on arrival. Messrs Fabian Bros, and Co. will hold a sale of furniture at the Arcade Auction Rooms to-morrow afternoon. The D.I.C. will to-morrow morning open their doors to a great clearance sale, and it is .announced that remarkable concessions will be made in all departments. Tenders are invited by Messrs E. H. Beero and Son for completion of the Devon street extension. On Friday next Messrs Abraham and Williams hold an important sale of freehold property on behalf of the executors of the late A. P. Stuart and Mr John Davies. The sale will he held at Levin, and the properties are offered to enable the partnership to be closed. The land is well situated, within a mile and a half of the Kerern Railway Station, Whilst the quality ol the soil is of the very best, being composed mainly of rich, drained swampy land. The property is offered in small blocks, ranging from" 50 to 3XO acres, so as to suit buyers of dairy farms, for.which it is eminently suitable; Intending purchasers will be shown over the property by Mr-John Davies, of Kerern.
