HERR BASSMUSSEN RETURNED TO NEW ZEALAND. Among tlio numerous passengers who arrived in Wellington last Wednesday by the s.s. Monowai. was Herr Bassmussen, the celebrated Danish herbalist and botanist of Sydney, who made himself so popular in this city about seven years ago. when he came over to open a branch of his. famous alfaline herbal remedy business, which has turned out a great success, and which has therefore come to stav. Herr Rassraussen has made vast strides since then, having established very large branches in Brisbane, Charters Towers, Melbourne, Adelaide, and also throughout West Australia, principally at Perth. Coolgardie, Knlgoorle, Kenowna and Fremantle; as well ns greatly enlarging his huge Sydney establishment, which now occupies almost the whole of the well-known Central Arcade. Such phenomenal success and continuous progress could not be possible unless his famous alfaline herbal remedies contain virtues entirely out of the common, and they are without a doubt the most popular proprietary herbal remedies # in Australasia to-day, and are credited with having done an incalculable amount of good- by all those who patronise them. Wo wish Herr Bassmussen further success, and trust ho will have a pleasant time of it while he remains amongst us. 17 It was stated some time ago that a leading onlnrUal pnlltlci%n had. in a fit cf tempers thro-e a, HV V. t- S» a imliHc-1 opponent. The real faot, were, that the said political opponent was so hoarse be could hardly speak, and the L.O.P. kindly tossed him a bottle of Woods’ Great Peppermint Cure, a ' sure remedy for all colds, oongfas. fto.
