In tho furniture trade dispute the Conciliation Board adjourned to permit of the signatures being obtained of one seller who refused to sign, because he employed no labour, and one manufacturer at Port Chalmers, who contended that he was outside the district. The coal-miners’ dispute was mentioned. Mr Allan Holmes, for the Kaitangata Company, said the company had sold out, and was being wound up, and if there wore any other parties to the dispute they were not in the colony. Auckland, September 3. The Auckland House Painters’ Union have lodged with the clerk of awards for tho northern industrial district an application with regard to hours of labour and other trade matters in dispute which the master painters refuse to accede to. 'The Board of Conciliation will meet on loth September to inquire into this industrial dispute. __________
