It is covered with hia robes as Doctor of Civil Laws, with an embroidered cloth, a gift to Mr Gladstone from the Armenians, lying over his feet. , , Westminster Hall, where Mr Gladstone s body is to lio in state in London, will be thrown open to the public on Thursday and Friday. , , . The pall-bearers at the funeral will be the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York, the Marquis of Salisbury, the Bight Hon A. J. Balfour, the Earl of Eosebery, the Earl Kimberley, Sir Wm. Haroourt, the Duke of Rutland, Mr George Armistead (formerly M.P. for Dundee) and Mr H. Baron Handel! (whose daughter is married to Mr Gladstone’s third son). The Agent-General for the Australian Colonies will attend the funeral. Mr Gladstone’s body has been brought to Westminster Hall. The stations along the route were crowded with mourners. Forty friends watch by the body alternately through the night.
