The shipment of fruit which arrived by the Mcnowai was inspected yesterday by Mr T» W. Kirk. Government Biologist, who found it to be in excellent condition The action taken by the department with resruj to the previous shipment has apparently had a good effect, and the intention of the department to condemn any future consignment* which are in the slightest diseased should result in shippers exercising greater oare In the fvitu.rp.
