POST OFFICE OFFICIALS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Having during the past twelve months travelled a great part of tho world, and having reason to call often at the different General Peat Offices for my letters, I often found the officials anything but polite and obliging not even so much as in England. I was vary much struck with the civility and politeness of the officials of the General Post Office, Wellington. Politeness costs nothing, but is much appreciated,—l am, &0., S. Charles, Occidental Hotel, January 11th, 1898.
