We have receivoda copy of the programme of the New Zealand Rifle Association’s thirty-seventh annual meeting, .to ho held at Oamarp qn March IQth and following days, 'inhere are 27 matches setdbwn for decision, to all of which liberal pii?o-money has boon allotted. Entries must be made on or before Saturday, the sth of March, and can be made with the local secretaries in the different towns up to thei same date. Post entries, however, can be made up to Tuesday, the Bth, on payment of an additional 2s 6d per match. From motives of economy, the rules and regulation hive been omitted from the sheet programme this year. The only alterations from preceding years are as follows : will be “standing 0 or “kneeling” j (2) up to, and including 500 yards, the “ prone position ” will take the place of “ any position (3) beyond 500 yards, “ any position (4) railway lasses will be issued as usual to Volunteers by the officer commanding the district, and to members of rifle clubs by the chairman of the Association, and application must be made early in order to insure the pass reaching the applicant in time for his journey. Competitors from north of Palmerston can travel via the Manawatu line at the usual rate or taVe their pass vici Woodyille on the Government line. The programme includes the Nelson Match, of .£63 ; Hawke's Bay Match, .£63; Marlborough - Kynook Match, .£57; Wanganui Match, £57 j Oau\a*U Match. £l2O ; Ladies’ Match, ,£57 ; Wellington Match, £63 j Christchurch Match, £57; Otago Match, .£57; Grand Aggregate Match, £dQ ; Champion Match, £llß 5 Inters colonial Teams* Match, £SO { Companies Teams* Match, £150; Champion Teams’ Match, £3O. Tnose, with several oth Q r minor competitions, are open to both Volunteers and members of rifle clubs. There are also three matches, of the aggregate value of £ll7, which are to be open only to Volunteers, in accordance with the recommendation of Colonel Pole-Penton.
