UNEASINESS IN AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph.—Press Association, — Copyright, Received January 11, 9.50 p.rn. Sydney, January 11. The press is agitating on the question of the defective supplies of small arms and ammunition. Later estimates set the ammunition down at 3,000,000 rounds, or 1,800,000 rounds less than that set down by Lord Wolseley’s pocket-book. Prominent Federationiats, too, are making the moat of the Eastern situation to point out the grave position of Australia in the event of hostilities breaking out. Berlin, January 10. The recent developments are resulting in many companies being formed in Berlin and Hamburg for the purpose of trade with China.
