ROWLEY'S WAXWORKS.
Tha proprietor of the. waxworks exhibition at the Criterion ; Theatre announces a great Christmas treat-for children, which will no doubt be taken fall advantage of by the members of the rising generation. Cn Christmas Ere and Boxing; .Day, from; II a.m. to 5 o’clock, the waxworks trill ba in; foil swing. A number of new sideshows will be added, and should greatly increase the attractiveness of the exhibition. Punch and Judy is to bo 7 shown at intcrrals, and there is to be a grand doll show, a handsome present being given'to the child .bringing the- best dressed doll. 1 A’ recitation competition has been decided npon,< a gift being presentsd to- the child-giving the best rendition of any piece of poetry. Among other things there will bo'a tug-of-war for a purse of silver, and a grind Christmas-tree, which will bo loaded with gifts."-
