WE have in the past dipposed of the bugbear of “ Proof of Age " by getting the member, immediately after receiving his Policy, to furnish whatever evidence he can, e.a. f in default of copy of the Register of his Birth, an extract from Family Bible or other record, a Declaration by one of his parents or other relative able to make one as to date of birth, or any document supporting his own statement. Failing all these, we have accepted the Member’s Statutory Declaration; and so far, we admit, our practice has been that of moat other Mutual Life Offices in Australasia. Wo havo now pleasure in announcing that the Board havo authorised our going a step further by undertaking the task of searching for evidence of age for every proponent who cannot himself produce it.
