WELLINGTON CAMERA CLUB.

Tho fifth annual meeting of the above olnb was held in the olnbroom, Exchange Buildings, last evening, the president,' Mr A. do B. Brandon, in the chair. Tho report stated that the olnb had a membership of 98. The exhibition held by tbe club was not as successful as it might have been' if tho members had given • their assistance. After referring at length to the exhibition, the report goes on; to say that the thanks of the club are duo to Mr C. T. Pell, who came from Nolson to act as judge, and although at tho last minute bo was unable to do so through pressure of business, secured Mr Malcolm Ross in his place. Tho committee also thanks Mr Rosa very heartily for his services. The year was started with a credit balance of .£l3 12s 9d. The receipts for tho year were £llO 14s 63, and the expenditure £lls 17s 7d, leaving a debit balance of £5 3s Id. The Chairman, in moving tho adoption of the report and balance-sheet, said tho report explained the work of the recent exhibition as compared with the previous exhibitions, and said the largo prizes offered accounted for the deficiency. The club, however, had no reason to be dissatisfied with the exhibition, as it was an excellent lesson to all tho members. The collection of pictures was well worthy of exhibition, and had a selection had to be made for the purpose of weeding out there were only three or four pictores that would have boon rejected. Tho report was adopted. - The following officers were elected for the ensuing year : —President, Mr A. de B, Brandon; vice-presidents, Messrs J. McLellan and A. McKay ; treasurer, Mr T. M. Hardy ; secretary, Mr J. A. Hoginbotbam ; committee, Messrs A. C. Gifford, B. Joyce, G. W. Barltrop, A. H. Adams, F. Haroonrt and T. Pringle ; auditor, Mr W. O. Stephen The mooting terminated with the usual, votes of thanks to the secretary and officers.
