TEEEIBEE EXPBEIENCE OF SIX CHINESE. By Telegraph,—-Press Association, Qreymooth, October 21. It has been raining hard for 24 hours. All tho rivers are rising rapiily, and thoro is every appearance of a big hood. Six Chinamen who wore fishing at Toromakau yesterday did not notice the river rising till an island had been made of the place where they stood, and they wore unable to got to tho mainland. They had to remain there alljnight, and at 10 o’clock this morning only five wore to be scon, up to’ their waists in water. A boat and rocket appliances have boon despatched from Groymonth to attempt a rescue. Part of Jackson's lino on tho Midland Bailway has been washed away. The amount of damage is not yet obtainable.
