Failing all those, wo have accepted the Statutory Declaration; and vy far, wo admit, our practice has been that of moat other Mutual Life Offices in Australasia. Wo have now pleasure in announcing that tho Board have authorised our going a stop further by undertaking tho task of searching for evidence of ago for every proponent who cannot himaolf produce it. Moat of our now members are Australian born, and as Registration of Births has been compulsory since 1850, wo do not anticipate much trouble in obtaining their Birth Certificates; still less for those born in tho United Kingdom; in fact, we have pursued this plan tor some years past whenever the assured so re- , quested, and doubtless our contemporaries have done tho same.
