CRICKET.

At a meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association last night it was decided to play the match Representative Eleven v. Colts next Saturday. Net practice is to commence on the Basin Reserve to-night. It was stated that the wickets on the Basin would be available for to-morrow to the Wednesday clubs if required. The pitches allotted to the Wednesday clubs are Nos. I and 4, and to the Drapers’ Association Nos. 2 and 3. The Third-class Championship matches are to commence on Saturday week. A letter was received from the Auckland Association asking for a date to be fixed for the annual interprovincial match. It was decided to ask last year’s representative team to meet, and to decide upon a date for the match to bo played.
