Anitvatj meeting.' The annual meeting of tho Wellington Cycling Club was bold last night m tho irooadero, tho president, Mr A. do B. Brandon, in tho chiih'. Thors was a largo attendance. Twenty now members Wtifo elected. Tta annual report and balance-sheet, Wmoh iiaffi fc'eori published in TIIe Times, were adopted bn tho moiiG'n of the Rhairtaan, who congratulated thft members Oh the sound position ot the club, ah.A also P n haytlig acquired a club-rc/om. Ho honed that proper use only would bo made or tho club-room, and that its privileges would not be abused, The proaident'alao referred to the satisfactory rotclement of tho dispute with too Athletic Park Company, and hoped that tho remaining 40 shares promised to be taken up by the dlnb would be subscribed. He also referred to the unsportsmanlike notion of eo-called Briortsmeii id the town wild had advocated the. f depletion Of tl'h Athletid Park and than had riot'talidntip aiiy sllareA , , ... On the motion of Air Hart, .it was decided to register the club aider the Unclassified Societies Registration Act as “ Tho Wellington Cycling Club.” „ „ A letter was received from Mr H.w. Smith, vino-captain of tho club, apologising for non-attendauoo and thanking tho mombora for thoir support daring the past year. Mr Smith also stated in his letter that ho would take up five of the remaining 40 shares in tho Athletic P4rk to be subscribed by tlio club: . ... „ , , ~ •. .Oh tbh, ihotloh of Mr P. B. Aluir, it wa9 decided that it sliou}d bh an instctiotion tho incoming committee to expend tho sum of JlB 8a in purchasing souvenirs to bo presented to the secretary and treasurer tor their past services. ' ~ ' The rules as revised by the committee were passed with only slight amendment. The election of officers resulted as follows : —President, Mr A. do B Brandon (reelected) ; vice-presidents, Mr G. H. Izard (re-elected), Dr Kawson, Dr James, and Air H G. Smith j captain, Air H. Reid; vicecaptain, Air, C. Jeft’aries ) hon treasurer, Mr W. Gaegwidden (re-elected) ; hon secretary, Mr R. P. Hood (re-elected) i hon auditor, Mr H. Pope (re-eledtod) j delegates to New Zealand Albanne, Jlcssrs Brown and Donaldson (re-elected) ; handicappor, Mr 15. B. Walker (re-elected); oommitteo, Messrs D. Brand, P. Hart, W. Beokingsale, J. P. Murphy, P. lydenun, H. Thomas and Magnus. . Tho regaining 35 bhares in the Athletic Park Company to bo taken up by the club were over-subscribed for in the room. A voto of thanks to the president concluded the meeting.
