TRADE DISPUTES.

The Conciliation Board met to-day. In the case of Maine Bros., bootmakers, they, the Union and the Association employees agreed to the Board’s suggestions that Maine Bros, indenture certain boys, have agreements with employees not interfered wuth, but comply in other respects with the award of the Arbitration Court. The parties concerned signed an industrial agreement. The Board proceeded to hoar a dispute between the Painters’ Union and the master painters, 24 of whom were summoned for failing to comply with the Union rules, also with failing to meet the Union in conference to settle the question of waces, employment of apprentices and overtime. Consideration was adjourned till the 2Gth iust., to permit the masters and the Union to confer, with a view of reaching an amicable settlement or clearly defining the issues for presentation to tho Board.
