By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. London, May 16. The P. and O. Company’s no w steamer Egypt has been launched at Greenock. The Government has decided to appoint a Eoyal Commission to enquire into and report upon the method cf fixing rents of Irish holdings. Mr Gerald Balfour, Chief Secretary for Ireland, stated that the charges made against the competency and honesty of the sub-commissioners will bo enquired into.
