The calendar for the criminal sessions of the Supreme Court, which opens on the 31st, will be one of the heaviest dealt with by the local Court for some years past. The Wairarapa North County Council decided to-day to ask the Government to amend the Rating Act so that Crown lauds may be rated for special rates.
