WE do not deny that we are young 1 to the business, that we are only getting experience, and that wo are merely novices in the bicycle lino, but we are marching on for all that. The fact is our success has far exceeded our wildest anticipation. As soon as the Columbia began to be known orders commenced coming in from near and far. We have never been able to supply that demand. Whenever a shipment has arrived we have had the greatest difficulty in apportioning*the machines, so as to get half our clients to wait the next shipment. The last ’Frisco steamer brought us 130 machines; the Alameda will bring us 118, the 1 Pakeha has 78, the Ruapehu 8, and the lonio 36. We are landing altogether fully 400 machines inside of four weeks. Wo do not claim to be the largest dealers in New Zealand •wo only aim to do a fair share. Wo have a magnificent stock of sundries on hand, and a great quantity more to arrive soon. We think wo can claim to have the most varied and valuable assortment of sundries of any firm in the Colony. We are very sorry we will be unable to supply any Columbia bicycles before the arrival of the Pakeha, duo about January sth. Wo will then have plenty of all styles Columbia and Hartford machines. Our stock at present is confined to Victors and Victorias. Victoria (lady’s) is a poem in steel. Wo do not know of any machine nowbeing offered in this market, excepting Columbias, the equal or superior of the Victoria. The Overman Wheel Company, manufacturers of the Victor bicycles, wore the pioneers of the manufacture of the safety in America. No company in America, exoept.the Pope Company, have either the experience or the reputation of the Overman : Wheel Company. The Victor is not a mongrel—it is a thoroughbred. It is the product of one factory. Every part, and part of every part, is thoroughly guaranteed by ue. When you ride a Victor you can got there and back. We are in our new premises, but not quite tidy, yet will be glad to see you and to talk business with you. THE TEREX AND JONES • COMPANY, 4S, WILLIS STREET, Wellington. 256 CYCLISTS.
