M. Hannat, Manager. Secretary. 306 DO YOU RIDE A BICYCLE ? IP SO, WHY NOT RIDE THE BEST ? The Czar of Russia rides a Dayton. Ton may rest assured he rides nothing but the best, THE DAYTON TAKES THE LEAD EVERYWHERE ! Tho “ English Wheelman,*’ October 3rd, 1896, says “We know of several ladies and gentlemen who are selling their higholaas English mounts and investing in Daytona.” The “Queen" says:—“The Dayton is an ideal machine. '* Road carefully the following testimonial from the best authority in Now South Wales : University of Sydney, November 3rd, 1890. Deae Sib,— I have carefully examined one of yonr “ Dayton ” Bicycles, and note the following particulars The tubular framework, including the front and back forks, are well designed, and combine about the greatest carrying capacity and stiffness possible for ' the ‘ weight of material employed. This is secured by the form of tho framework, tho large diameter of the tubes, and the mechanical arrangements for connecting them at tho joints. An important feature of this bicycle is the design of the ball - bearings throughout. These are exceptionally large and strong, ensuring durability, while at the same time the arrangements for oiling, adjustment of pressure on the balls so as to reduce the frictional resistances to a minimum without end play are exceptionally ingenious and complete. The case with which the cranks and sprocket wheel can be taken off and replaced is also worthy of note. I consider that the “ Dayton ” combines all the best features of the English and American Bicycles, and that its workmanship and finish are at least equal to the best in the market. Z remain, .
